I have the EyeToy
Namtai for Playstation 2.
I'm trying to use it as a
webcam for my computer
I have Window's XP. I
downloaded the Zip file
drivers, and Extracted them.
and etc. But, under my Device
Manager the EyeToy USB Camera
Namtai is under Other Devices with
a yellow question mark on that and
the Eyetoy. I don't know what to do
in order for me to get this thing to work!
I would really appreciate some help! Thanks!

First of all, make sure you actually have the Namtai and not the Logitech EyeToy. You can read the brand on the bottom of the camera. The instructions below assume Windows XP, but for W2K it would be similar.
Once you're sure, take these steps:
- Rightclick 'My Computer'
- Select 'Manage'
- Select 'Device Manager'
- Find the webcam (it can be under Unknown Devices, Imaging Devices or possibly even Sound, Video and Game controllers)
- Check that it has an error icon superimposed on its icon, generally a yellow warning icon.
- Rightclick the icon
- Select 'Update Driver ...'
- Windows asks "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?", select "No, not this time" and click "Next >"
- Windows asks "What do you want the wizard to do?", select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)"
- Select "Search for the best driver in these locations"
- Uncheck "Search removable media"
- Check "Include this location in the search"
- Click "Browse" and browse to the folder where you unpacked the zip with the driver files
- Hit "Next >"
Complete the wizard and the drivers should be properly installed.
Good luck,
Grismar.

You need to extract the zip file. Extract it to your desktop, or to your C drive - anywhere that you can find it easily. Then when you're prompted to browse for the driver, locate the folder that you extracted the drivers to.
