I am new to game consoles and got a regular PS2 used and had been making my way through Tomb Raider Anniversary, but have got stuck in Midas's Palace, as it is damn impossible. I want to download a savefile to allow to skip past this point, but am having problems understanding what to do. I followed the article, but the console wont read the CDR with uLunchElf on it. So I am guessing mine doesnt support backup files. Would someone give me step by step instructions on how to get it to work. Using a swap technique? Wonder to do this without going out and buying something. Is this possible? thanks in advance.

If you've got an old 'chubby' PS2 (not a slim one), then you can probably use the independence exploit to get a uLaunchElf disc to boot. Just Google "independence exploit" to find out how to do it. The only thing you'll need is an original PS1 game.

Or if you know someone with a chipped PS2, you can get them to put the save onto your memory card for you.

The easiest way would be to get a friend with a modded console to do this for you using uLaunchELF.
