The problem with the installation of the EyeToy as a Webcam....

I know that there are 3 types of Eyetoy Models.

* SLEH-00031
* SCEH-0004
* SLEH-00030

The one in bold being the original eyetoy.

My guess is that since there are only 2 different driver packs, the Namtai and the Logitech, maybe the first model type which is also a Namtai, differs from the other 2 models.

I would like to know if those who are having trouble with their EyeToy being recognized as a Imaging device have the first model. The "SLEH-00031"

This is just a guess....I have no prior knowledge regarding the compatibility of the drivers with the different model types.

I have had the problem with the eyetoy not being recognised as an imaging device, and the type I have is the SLEH-00031.

I've got the 00031 as well and whenever I try to use it on Windows LIVE it's just a white screen, other than that it lights up like it's going to work...however it doesn't. :/

I had the same problem but got mine working now on both yahoo and win live_ messengers. I haven't tested the mic yet though. I'm running WindblowsXP Pro x86 on that pc.

I have the Namtai SCEH-0004 and it doesn't work

ive got the 31 namtai eyetoy and i really need help, i install it all and then at end of installation it sais unable to start device code (10), please someone help

ya same for me, i plugged my eyetoy in, and it worked for a GOOD time, now though when i plug it in, the blue light is on, but it says capture device not detected , i was thinking maybe unstill the hardware driver then try to reinstall?? some 1 know how to do that? e-mail me if u do pls ncf2222@yahoo.com

i got it! i know how to fix it ok follow these directions
1. Go to start >> Control panel >> add or remove programs.
2. Go to D link - VGA webcam, or something like that.
3. uninstall,
4. unplug the eyetoy, plug back in.
5. do the setup for it
