My eyetoy is from England

My laptop is Canadian
Maybe it is because the eyetoy is from england but laptop from Canada, I dunno
But after ages I finally managed to do it but it still only works as a microphone, it doesn't pick it up as a video device

I am having a similar problem. My namtai eyetoy and my computer were both bought in the United States. It worked on my old XP, but with Vista, it only works as a microphone. It shows up twice in the device manager, once under sound, video, and game controllers as a microphone, and once as an unknown in other devices. Can anyone help?

The drivers are for XP, not Vista.
that happened to me but i restarted my computer and it worked
If you're running 64-bit Vista, this will happen. The microphone driver is a generic Microsoft USB driver. No such luck on the cam, though...
As for 32-bit Vista, the XP drivers will work.
