Hi Guys,

I am interested in getting a MC backup-to-PC solution since I am running out of space on my MC, and I don't want to buy 2 new cards (1 for backup) to continue working through my PS2 library.

My PS2 is a SPCH 30001 R with the 1-wire mod and an SBOX USB mod. Whenever I boot the uLaunchElf, I get the PS1 boot screen and sound, but with no graphic, and then it just hangs. I think someone else was having this problem.

Is it the CD media? I am using GQ Great Quality silver CD-Rs. The recording side is light gold. Or is my PS2 just too old?

I tried burning one at 4X and same problem.

Another question on the topic of MC backup: The PS3 mem card adapter is just $15. Is there a PC driver for it? It would make a sweet deal as a MC transfer device...

OK, I FIGURED IT OUT! I forgot that to boot PS2 copies (on CD) I have to use GameShark. I tried this and got the browser to load! But there was an error message about not being able to load LAUNCHELF.CNF. Is that normal?

Anyway, now I'm learning how to copy my saves to my USB card. If this works, I'm set for life!

I think LAUNCHELF.CNF will probably just be a missing configuration file that saves your uLaunchELF preferences. If it works without it, then don't worry about it

I used uLaunchELF a while ago to backup all my saves to PC, it worked like a charm. I also used it to copy downloaded saves off the internet to my MC.
