ME newbie desperately need help here. Before I post the threat, I've been visited many forum regarding ulaunchelf trouble shooting and none of the answer satisfied me even worst so~~~~ many jargons that I don't understand. So here is the Simple Question

HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO BOOT UP THE ULAUNCHELF CD BY USING MY PS2?

Here is my "CLEAN AND UNMODIFIED" PS2 info:
Console SPCH 70011
DVD version 1.11
CD Player version 2.00

Here is what I did
1. Download the uLaunchelf from IPlaystation Website
2. Decompressed to become 22.5MB ISO
3. Burn the ISO to CD SLOWLY(4x speed) by using Astroburn
4. Insert USB drive with my fav-game
5. Put the CD to my PS2 Console
6. Switch the power THEN....

RESULT: VOILA~~~ RED TUNNEL COMES OUT BEARING THE MESSAGE ~~ "PLEASE INSERT PS FORMAT OR PS2 FORMAT DISK"

So if I follow the instruction correctly why some people works fine but I got the reault shown as above?! ?! ?! ?!

What exploit or modchip are you using?

"CLEAN AND UNMODIFIED" PS2 Console which means no Modchip and no Exploit. I assume both are hardware, right?!

I heard there is a way to let PS2 console recognize my USB flash drive without any hardware modification is that true?

All I want to do is let my PS2 console can recognize my USB flash drive

There are some crazy new exploits for the slim PS2 - but you need to get a Action Replay Max I think. Have a look around on the afterdawn.com forums, but be prepared to put on your thinking cap, it's not exactly a walk in the park

help me its making me crazy.
i downloaded ulaunchelf, and burned it using dvd decryptor. it burned all files in the folder. so I have a tape and tissue modded ps2 slim. i can play backups just fine. when it goes to the ps1 loading screen and i swap the disk with ulaunchelf, nothing happen. it just gives me the playstation screen with the ps symbol. i did evrything right didnt i.by the way i used an imation cdr disk at 4x speed.
